OSDRI is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and Rhode Island’s primary nonprofit resource to end and prevent the cycle of homeless for at-risk veterans. It seeks to strengthen the veteran community by providing crucial comprehensive services.  This goal requires an all-encompassing approach to address the varied needs empower the most successful generation of transitioning service members through outreach, advocacy and dignity.

OSDRI works hand in hand with almost every major state and federal agency as well as community organizations and employers to provide seamless referrals to outside sources of assistance.

Services

OSDRI Helps facilitate a combination of permanent supportive, transitional and recovery housing offers to low-income and disabled veterans to meet their needs.
Our Employment and Training Program is focused on eliminating barriers by providing veterans and their families the employment and training services they need in order to re-enter the workforce
OSDRI Manages a community supported food pantry and Personal Hygiene program for use by in-need veterans stocked with non-perishables.
OSDRI’s Pro-bono Legal Assistance for Warriors (LAW) program provides high quality legal representation to Rhode Island veterans.
