A Christian ministry that aims to reach the homeless and needy of Rhode Island’s urban centers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing physical, emotional, spiritual, educational and rehabilitative services to all in need.
More than a homeless shelter and soup kitchen, the Providence Rescue Mission endeavors to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ while treating every individual that comes through their doors with dignity and respect with the goal of transforming their lives for the Kingdom of God.
SHELTER
The only emergency homeless shelter in Rhode Island open 24/7. The Mission provides hot showers, personal items, clothing, shoes, socks, underwear- free of charge.
MEAL DISTRIBUTION
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served everyday to those in need
– over 7,000 meals a month
EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY
The food pantry distributes boxes and supplies of over 3,000 meals each week.
DISCIPLESHIP
Chapel service is held every night in partnership with local churches. In addition, a one-year Recovery Program is offered which provides Christian counseling, bible studies, life skills, job training and family reconciliation.
